Anyone have any insight on when this BS is going to end? Missing cruising so much!

From what I understand, the current policies are in effect through 3-31. I am hoping that things change on the newest update which should be coming any time. When I booked my cruise last year, vaccines were not mandatory. I'm playing the waiting game. Will have to do something by mid april. Hoping Novavax will be approved before then.

Even if the cruise line eliminates the vaccine requirement, a lot of the excursion companies, and a lot of the places that the countries that the boats stop in will keep them.

But, honestly, I'm going on a European cruise this summer, and I'm glad that everyone onboard will be vaccinated, because it will lessen the chance of an outbreak on the boat, and I don't want my cruise spoiled by getting COVID.

Sorry.

We're going on a Viking Cruise on the Baltic in May. They will have the same protocols as we had as our December cruise. Price of admission in Europe these days. It'll be the same for any cruise line doing the oceans or rivers in Europe. Honestly, wasn't that much of a hassle and we enjoyed the smaller crowds and gratefulness of the crew for us being there. We'll expect the same in May.

The Viking Health & Safety Program is one of the most well-researched and comprehensive COVID-19 prevention and mitigation plans in the travel industry.

Requirement that all guests and crew be up to date in their immunization against COVID-19
Up to daily, quick and easy non-invasive saliva PCR tests for all guests and crew, processed in full-scale Viking-dedicated laboratories
New air purification technology installed on all Viking ships, which have always featured independent air handling units for all guest staterooms
Additional health checks, sanitization and physical distancing to protect Viking guests and crew at all points of the journey
Complimentary PCR test if needed for the return flight to your home country

Come on man, you know that is complete bullshite. We just got past our highest infections ever with the most people being vaccinated.
