Renting a house with a big group of friends for a week. Curious if it’s a golf cart / SxS friendly island? Worth renting one or two for the week to bounce around the island? Like isla mujeres or ambergris caye?

Our house is on Guana Bay on the east coast of the island if that helps answer the question.

When I was in a shuttle the other day there, it did not appear cart friendly. Lots of traffic. Even a bad wreck with a dump truck.

St Maarten is NOT a golf cart rental island. Rent a jeep. No way in hell I’d drive anywhere there in a golf cart. It’s a bigger island.

Thanks for the input. We’re renting a van to get around. I found some side by side rental places online. Was curious if it’s worth renting one

I agree with renting a jeep, small suv, or minivan. Its a pretty large island with some steep hills that carts probably can't handle. Also be aware of a lot of mopeds & scooters who like to weave in and out of traffic. I was there in 2017 only 2 weeks before the big hurricane ripped apart that beautiful place.
