Pros and cons
How far of a walk to Disney Springs?
How long do you have to wait for shuttles to parks and where do they drop you off?
Do you get a Magic Band? Fastpasses?
We have done Allstar and Yacht Club for previous trips.

They're on Disney property but you lose some of the perks. I believe they do have buses to the parks but their frequency is much less than those at Disney hotels. the walk to Disney Springs shouldn't be too bad....but some hotels are obviously further than others. You should definitely be able to get a room for cheaper than the Yacht Club and it will no doubt be better than an All Star resort.
I personally prefer to spend the extra $$ and stay at a Disney Resort. When are you looking to go?

We are looking to go over Thanksgiving week. WDW.com only has availability at some of the value resorts. We have been 4 times before over Thanksgiving and know it is crowded.
