Just moved to Clarksville to avoid Kentucky personnel income tax
Anyways all above is true. Was there a couple weeks ago for Def Leppard. Had a blast at Tootsies..High dollar though. Printers Alley is a major hangout spot for me at the blues club down there. Lot a friends play music there.

Follow Cas4t's advice. Real good list there. I can't stress staying off of Broadway enough unless you like sterile commercialization and tourist traps. Go there and pop in and out of a few places or walk around but that's about it. I wouldn't eat anywhere near 2nd/Broadway. I would also add the historic east Nashville neighborhood is a good place to eat/hang/etc

Go see some live music at Exit Inn

Maybe the interstate. People that go to bonnaroo don't migrate to Nashville unless it's to go home.

Thanks to all that have contributed to this thread. Based on most of the posts I realize that Nashville must be a big food town.
Many thanks!

A couple of adds. In addition to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Musicians Hall of Fame in the new downtown arena is a fascinating visit. As they see, you can see the 'limo' at the CMHOF, but come see the engine and the tires.
Second the Hot Chicken, Nashville's Native Dish. Prince's is my go-to.
Also, check to see if a band called "Tim Akers And the Smoking Section" is playing. Some of Nashville's best musicians get together and jam. Their YouTube stuff is great.

insider tip: skip the bullshite lines and go to bishop's meat+3 in cool springs for hot chicken since they own hattie-Bs and serve the same chicken without sitting in the dumbass hipster 2-block long lines.

avoid nashville like the plague for the next 2 weeks until bonaroo, predators playoffs and CMA fest is over.
All 3 are over now...so Mid-State is all good.

We stayed at a house in the gulch, about five minutes from Broadway. Go eat at Acme Feed and Seed. Check out Tootsies as well.
