After taking my SO to Reba and Miranda this past year, she’s agreed to go with me to an alt music festival in Indianapolis in June. We thought we’d road trip and spend a couple of days in Nashville, live music and some good food. Then a couple of days on the Bourbon Trail.

Bars, restaurants, sights or places to stay (Unique, hip?) in Nashville?

I’m thinking of staying in Bardstown in Kentucky, instead of Louisville. Looks cozier and seems to be some nice B&Bs there. Thoughts? The Makers distillery seems cliche, but everything I read says it really is a can’t miss. True? We’ll probably have time for one other. We both favor Four Roses and Buffalo Trace. Other suggestions? I’ve seen the importance of paying attention to when they open up tours. Early May for June tours, right?

Is the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis worth it? She’s from Savannah and a YUUUGE Bulldogs fan. Would they have anything special to see now? Website doesn’t offer much.

I’d appreciate any tips, tricks, suggestions or recommendations on the road from Pensacola to Indianapolis.

No. But the park along the river downtown is nice, if the weather is nice.

Indianapolis- Not suggesting you cross town to eat there, but I stayed in a hotel very close to the Four Seasons Diner recently. Outstanding breakfast... all day menu looked great too. Been in business a long time with great staff.

We are headed to Bardstown Friday and staying at a bed and breakfast near Makers. I’ll report back when we return.

The wife and I stayed at the Bourbon Manor B&B in Bardstown in January. I highly recommend it. The Breakfast is first rate.
