Looking for any recs for a full day semi-private wine tour for 2 people (in a group no less than 10 really) from San Fran. Preferably includes both Napa and Sonoma but thats not necessarily a deal breaker. Not wine connoisseurs but would love a mix of both large and boutique wineries. Really any recs help because a lot of reviews I’ve read are mixed

Did a TD google search and didnt see much about tours from SF

The easiest way would be to call a car/limo service and tell them exactly what you want. They will find and book the wineries for/with you.

Or you can set up through the wineries yourself and just tell them.

There really aren't many that are just a giant tour with 20 other people outside of places like Robert Mondavi, but you can get the VIP/private tours for a little extra money.

The largest group I've been with to Napa/Sonoma was 4 and I've never had anyone else with us on tours/tastings.

You're helpful.

I made the suggestion based on personal experience. We did it and visited 3 wineries in Napa for like $500 including tip. That included the driver, limo, snacks, and alcohol in the limo. Compared to other services, the cost difference wasn't that big and it was very nice to be 100% private. Our driver was also extremely knowledgable.

Have used Platypus tours twice. Small group of couples on a small bus/van and very fun tour guide named Army. Usually three or four stops with a picnic lunch. Fun to meet folks from all over. Have been the only ones from LA both times.

Damn I didn't even see that. Yeah, avoid doing both in one day. You'll lose 60-90 minutes just travelling from one to the other. That's on top of a 2 hour round trip between SF and either side. I would do napa if you haven't been to either before.

Not sure this is what you are looking for but one of the owners is from BR. It looks awesome...

Did Platypus also, I thought they did a great tour. You can only do Napa or Sonoma in a day.

We've used Why Spit a couple of times. We planned all of our tastings/lunch and emailed them our itinerary and they take it from there. Super easy and great people.

We used Army Moreno (Platypus) for two days in Napa about a month ago. Would highly recommend him. We plan on using him next time in Sonoma.
