Larger the distance from River Street, the more shanky it gets. I have walked all over though. There are a ton of little hidden places to eat if you get out and walk. Been a few years, so I am a bit out of the know.

Try the peanut butter and jelly wings at treylor park. Vic's on the river had a decent shrimp and grits. Ole pink house was kinda meh.

I wanted to try Leopolds ice cream but the line is always like 30-40 deep.
