Any advice on things to do? Right now I have plan to visit everything Lincoln in Springfield and in st Louis only thing we have is the zoo and the gateway arch.

The Science Center in St. Louis is nice and near the Zoo. Grant's Farm has a bunch of animals and free beer.

In Springfield, Cards AA game and go to Branson. Springfield is a small city and not much to do there, I would live there in a heartbeat, but not much in the way tourist stuff.

City Museum is a must see in St. Louis for anyone, but absolutely if you have kids.

Literally the only play ground for all ages.

I've been once, my nephew used to go all the time, I wondered if it would be a fad but it looks like it's still going strong.

I used to live there...
Springfield Brewing Co. Really cool brewery. I used to work for Paul Mueller Company that built the brewery to showcase their brewery design capabilities. It was Mueller Brewpub back then. Got bought out and is pretty nice. Good beer and good food, for Missouri anyway.
The original Bass Pro Shop is their. It has a museum, and the normal Bass Pro stuff. But some nicer things
Other than that

Ya bass Pro is their staple. Branson is where you should spend the day

its constantly changing every year to keep people coming. Heck, there's now a bar on the roof.

The Arch. The St Louis Zoo (it's free). Forest Park has a bunch of other stuff to see, museums and such. I can't recommend City Museum highly enough, it's such a unique place. There is also the Science Center by Forest Park and the Magic House in Kirkwood. Magic House is great for little kids, but it's not a must see.
For the adults, there are several craft breweries in St Louis worth checking out. Depending on where you're going there is a local brewery near you. If you go to Forest Park, Heavy Riff is right there in Dogtown, just across the highway. If you go downtown for the city museum, Schlafly and Urban Chesnut are close by. If you want to do the AB tour but get a real beer after, 4 Hands is very close by.
If you want to see some of the most beautiful religious art work in the country, check out the Cathedral Basillica in the Central West End. It's known as the new Catherdral, but was built in 1904. The mosaics inside are incredible. It's really breathtaking.
There are a bunch of other STL folks here and some that make regular trips that can help with restaurant recs as well if you want. And I'll keep checking back to see if I can answer any more questions.

Good list there. I'll second the brewery recs. The new Urban Chestnut "beer hall" is absolutely awesome. German Style beer hall with rows of communal seating, tons of beer, and excellent food. The St. Louis food and beverage scene is amazing right now.
