Quiet, relaxing get away...suggestions?

Looking for suggestions for a quiet, peaceful, scenic spot in reasonable driving distance from BR for the s/o and me to spend 4-5 days. Don't care about terrain...beach, mountains, it's all good but looking for more out of the way, relaxing, restful spot without thousands of people everywhere.

Go to the seaside\water color area in late September or early October.
If not looking for a house or condo there is an awesome hotel. I think it's called the Pearl.
Same time frame, go to Fairhope Alabama and stay at a bed and breakfast or the Marriotte Grand Hotel nearby in Point Clear.
