My wife and I are headed to Eastern Eurpoe in June. We are flying into Prague and out of Budapest and plan to visit Vienna in between. We will be there for 10 days - thinking 3 days in each city. Just bought a couple of travel books and starting my research to build an itinerary.

Any help on restaurants, tours, side trips or experiences would greatly be appreciated.

Sounds like almost the same trip we are doing in April (Into Prague and out of Budapest). I started a thread, that's probably on page 2 or so now, with a few solid suggestions.

Go to Figlmuller's Restaurant in Vienna and order the schnitzel. It is the best I've ever eaten!!!

It's near St. Stephen's Cathedral in Stephansplatz (less than 100 yards) in the town center.

Always recommend buying a Green Michelin Guide for details on local sights. Never visited Prague, but Budapest and Vienna had lots to see. Sachertorte and coffee at the Sacher Hotel in Vienna.

3 in each is fine. Budapest and Prague are much bigger than Vienna. Can you stretch the trip out any? Vienna is gorgeous, Budapest is a mini Paris, and Prague is a storybook.

Get some good shoes, use the public transportation, and just do it. You'll love it.

ETA: don't do side trips. Those cities will keep you more than occupied and wanting to see even more than you have time for.
