Dinant Belgium:
This is Maredsous Church/Brewery. I went into the church to take pictures and drank outside.
This was a resturant I ate at that overlooked to entire region, you could even see France in the distance. It was called Les 7 Meuses
Amsterdam:
I did not take pictures in the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, or where Heineken is made. I do have pictures of the countryside but most just windmills, flowers, plains, and some wooden shoes I bought.
Brussels:
Did 12 days in Belgium, 2 in Amsterdam, 1 in Luxembourg, and 2 in Venice. In Belgium, I went to Brugge, Ghent, Antwerp, Liege, and Dinant. Brussels was awesomeas we were there they had the Ommegang Festival so I have some pictures from that, did an underground tour of a tunnel the people used during WWII, also did a lot of drinking.

I was in Europe for 17 days and only had 1 day of rain. It was also during a heat wave as it was 85+ every single day.
I brought pants to wear because we were told it gets cool during the summer nights, so we were expecting 50-60 degree weather at night, it wasn't even close to that.

What's the story with that sword?

was in the church and was owned by the former King of Belgiun. They had that plus his crown, robe, etc... thing was at least 1000 years old and the handle was made of gold.Leopold II owned it, so would be 1900 I believe.

Dinant looks beautiful. I've been all over Belgium but never there. Is it a vibrant city with cafes, etc ? In other words....is it a good place to drink?

Sweet pics, as an army brat I lived in Germany for 3 years but I was around 7 years old and didn't get to do a lot on my own. I need to go back.

Yeah they have plenty of places to drink, I ate ate/drank at Leffe Cafe along the river. not a large town but we went sight seeing for castles and we were told about 7 Mues Resturant which was awesome.
they actually have a bubble (think hamster ball) you can rent and sleep under the stars on the mountain. it has a king size bed and the AC unit inside. you leave walk down the steps and you have a private bathroom, kitchen area.
Maradsous was pretty awesome, they were having a Festival of sorts so I was able to try a lot of their beers and they even had monks drinking. also hit up where they have St. Guillous and took a tour from that place.
Besides hiking, drinking, etc you can rent kayaks or paddle boats and go through the canals and back way to see the sights.
overall Dinant was one of those areas that I didn't consider before going but it turned out to be one of my favorite areas.

I'm gonna put it on my list. Probably won't make this summer as we have all of our apartments booked.

Yeah we did all in a day of Dinant, Namur, and Leige. Basically made a circle back to Brussels, I should have gone further south and hit up Rochefort though.
