We are taking a trip to the Mayan Riviera in June and currently have this hotel booked.

Occidental Grand

I've obviously checked online but the reviews are all over the board which makes me think there may be a better option. Also the lack of a true beach stinks. Has anyone stayed here before? Also can anyone offer advice on an all inclusive and best place to stay?

Late 30's couple no kids so looking for somewhat of a party scene but not interested in foam parties or club music.

I looked at that one but booked Barcelo instead for the beach. Two families with kids from 5-9 though

Not Riviera Mya, but Playa Mujeres on the other side of Cancun is secluded and real nice adult all inclusives. Check out excellence Reort playa mujeres.

Take the boat to isla mujeres and get a golf cart and enjoy the island. One of the more authentic places left in Cancun area.

Stayed at Grand Princess Riviera in Sept 2016 and loved it. Huge resort with plenty of good food and bars. Beach was nice and pools were too. Close enough to Playa and they have a shuttle that goes to downtown Playa and back a few times a day. Stayed in a swim up suite and it was really cool.

IMO, reviews for all inclusive resorts tend to be all over the place. I have always looked at a bunch of pictures and listen to the Europeans on reviews. Americans tend to be dramatic and bitch about every little thing. This is probably stupid but I found it has been true in the 2 times I have researched and gone to Cancun and Playa.
