Looking for some airbnb places in New Orleans for a wedding shower that just happens to fall during Mardi Gras. Obviously there's no hotels reasonably priced during this time, but there a few airbnb options. Not familiar with the area but here are some streets/areas that are available. What's safe or acceptable for two nights?
Irish Chanel, garden district, central city, mid city, marginy, Algiers, st. Roch/new marginy, near St. Louis cemetery, treme, central business district

Avoid Central City and St. Roch. The other areas are fine. The location of the shower and whatever other activities you're interested in will help determine the best neighborhood to select.

Irish Channel/Garden District/Mid City. Wichever one of these three is closest to the shower. If you've been around during Mardi Gras then you aware that Uptown, Garden Districe, Warehouse, CBD, and anything around the FQ are pain in neck to navigate. You may or may not be able to get to and from certain areas due to traffic and road closures.
