I've skied there many times since the 1970's. Where are you staying? Overall, it's a somewhat rustic place, not posh. Check out the St. Bernard Hotel; great après ski bar, have lunch and a beer on their deck on a sunny day, and stay there next time; it's an experience unlike anywhere I've ever been (very European). If you need ski equipment, try the Boot Doctor; they're very good. Are you there Mardi Gras week? Maybe I'll see you there.

Eat at the Bavarian House when up in the ski village and Doc Martins at the Taos Inn when in town.
