Feel like I am behind the ball getting this sucker planned I cant even decide where to go! We have never been to an all-inclusive resort, but the idea of not having to worry about food/drinks and just kicking back, relaxing and doing whatever we feel between resorts/excursions seems like the route we want to take.

Whats your favorite resort/location? What was your budget? Favorite excursions/events? other things I should be aware of when deciding?

Should I be looking at contacting one of those no-cost vacation planners? Are they scammy or actually get exclusive rates for stay/airfare?

Thanks in advance!

Knowing your budget, how far you are willing to travel, etc would be nice.

I think where all-inclusives really miss the mark is the quality of the food. If you like good food, don't choose an all-inclusive unless it is a top-tier resort.

There are some all inclusives with good food, but you do pay a decent bit more.

We were planning to get married Summer 2020, but pushed it to Summer 2021. We originally planned Italy for the honeymoon, but after the reschedule we called an audible for Cap Maison in St Lucia. It’s a boutique resort, and you can opt in or out of the the All Inclusive. The food was top tier, and even on another level. Service was excellent.

We prefer less populated vacation destinations, and we wanted even more privacy for the honeymoon.

The only drawbacks were that the drive from the airport to the resort was brutal, but once you got there it was great. The beach was small, but there wasn’t a crowd so it didn’t matter.

We recently decided on going to Barbados in June for our honeymoon after tossing around many ideas for weeks. We went the all-inclusive route for the exact same reason you mentioned. You can't go wrong with the Caribbean or Mexico if you are just trying to kick back on the beach. Only thing to keep in mind is Hurricane season.

We did Secrets Cap Cana in the Dominican for our honeymoon this May and were very happy with the resort, the food and the staff. Headed to Sandals Granada this coming May, heard and read great things about it.

Why would you worry about food/drinks if you didn't stay at an AI resort?
