Drink a lot of beer

Never been there but it's probably the best beer city in the country

Drink Oregon beers. Someone told me they had car washes where you could buy beer while you wait.

The restaurants downtown are awesome for beer, food, and...very hairy pussy (if you like that sort of shite), but the wait often be aggravating.

Avoid Voodoo doughnuts and homeless people.

Maybe go to Dante's if they have a good show or karaoke from hell.

The Japanese Garden in Portland is pretty neat.

If you have a car you can take a scenic drive out to the Columbia River Gorge and they have some small hiking trails and waterfalls worth seeing, nothing strenuous, probably need a half day for this.

Hopefully you haven't arrived the past couple of days. Ice storm came through and everything shut down for a day or so.

What do you like to do? Outdoor stuff? Drink beer? Go clubbing? Hit up strip bars?

I can help you with some of these things. The weather is awful right now. Hiking will be a bitch. Not sure how the drive through the mountains to the coast will be, with the weather we're having.

Beer drinking is good, as usual. The West side is more upscale, with fake hipsters. The East side is where the real hipsters are.

Check out Great Notion Brewing, if you really like craft beer. Five years from now, you'll be able to say, "I went there went it was a dive in NE Alberta St."
