Looking for somewhere within 5 hours or so of Baton Rouge to take the wife for a short trip in December. Looking for somewhere that is more laid back than fast paced and crowded.
Thanks

Definitely not looking to shop. Would like something with historical value. Small town feel where we could walk to and from most places. We are active but I'm not looking for a hike.

Natchez?

I like Perdido in Winter, there's only snow birds there. You can walk the beach, go into Pensacola, see the forts around the area or visit the Naval Avation Museum.

Good luck.

I was thinking somewhere like Natchez but have never been. Hadn't thought of beach. I will have to look into it. Thanks for the help.
