I booked my flight for Costa Rica in November. Will be flying into Liberia.
Are there any places one would recommend to stay or sights that are a must see? We will likely be spending the majority of our time in Tamirindo, but nothing is set in stone. We have not booked a place to stay yet.
Mid-Late 20s couple. We both like outdoor activities and some nightlife as well.
Just looking for some general experiences in the Guanacaste area.
Thanks!

Going at the very end of the month so hopefully it has dried up at that point.

Yea it's been several years since I went and I didn't plan any of it so I can't help a whole lot on things to do etc... I just remember a lot of rain to the point where there were lots of road closures and we had to detour to where 2 hour drives were taking 4-6 hours.

If you rent a car:
Most of the Highways there are merely lines drawn on a map.
Don't think you can average more than 5 or 10 miles an hour on them, even less speed if it's (or has been) rainy.
The Ticos are good folks, CR is wonderful, I'll be back there in March.
