Place is packed at 3PM on a Sunday. Dead Kennedy’s are playing on the overhead at the bar. I had the CBJ with red peppers and banana peppers. Tots were extra crispy. fricking perfect after a long day of traveling. I have no idea where I am exactly.

ETA: Fixed the pics. This was the only place that showed up on ALL the lunch lists I Googled. Certainly worth the stop, but I like these kinds of places.

Staying at the Drury in Columbus as my company gets a great rate here and it's close to our facility. It's a suburban waste land of PF Changs and shopping malls. To the delight of the OT posters that venture over here, there's a travel ball tournament somewhere near here as there are a million little Cadens and Zanders running around the lobby at all times. Not a lot of MILFs in this bunch.

Local lunch options are slim in Dublin. All the places I really want to go to are in Columbus and that’s 20+ mins one way for me to get there. Trying the 101 Beerkitchen which is a local brewing and farm to table place.

Definitely a good burger. Not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s damn good. Love to make it to the original location, but don’t have the time.

Vaso for an early dinner. What you’d expect from a brand new chic hotel bar. Good crowd for a Monday night and downtown Dublin seems pretty cool. It’s raining so the rooftop is moot. Food is OK, but certainly not my favorite.

Should have gotten the Old Fashioned, but liked the idea of tequila and cardamom. They didn’t pull it off.

The Brussels spouts and Cesar salad combo was legit. Real anchovies was clutch.

ETA: This Place was across the street from Vaso and was cool. Really loud, but would be fun with the right group.

Tucci’s > Vaso and it’s really not even close. At Tucci’s for lunch which is very reasonably priced and fantastic. Service is stellar and the outside seating with the 70 temps is awesome. Yankees still bringing me unsweet tea with sugar on the side though.....

Blackened walleye sandwich with a baby wedge. Delicious, but one of y’all need to come up here and help them with the “blackened” part.

The blonde in the background with the two guys might be the best looking woman I’ve seen since I’ve been here. Not a ton of talent here.

All the stone walls around this area look like this. Anyone know why?

ETA: Oscar’s for an early dinner. Nice shaded patio covered with grape vines. They are known for the walleye. I’d have to agree. It was fantastic.

The Brazenhead is an Irish themed bar right next door to Oscar’s. Same owner. They have $4 burger night on Weds. Burgers are made from the steak trimmings from Oscar’s. Bartender says it’s packed then. FYI.

Hoof Hearted tonight. Going to the baseball game in a bit.

BBQ wings with “Alabama sauce”. Texture was perfect, but the flavor was off. They were good, but not Saw’s or others in Bham.

Long story, but sours and farmhouse ales are out for me. More than half the rotation here was that style and the traditional ales was very average.

I will say that the scenery was good. They built this place around several college condo places and the talent level is steadily increasing.

Put this on the list. The first can’t miss thing I’ve found in this town. Venue is PACKED. Tons of good looking women. Beer selection isn’t what I’d like, but there are some locals if you looks. Great minor league venue.

One of the locals said it was to mimic Dublin, Ireland. Not sure if true or not.

Quick reading just says it was to make a better livestock fence.

Tucci’s again for lunch. Chef’s salad. The little brown balls are fried goat’s cheese which was a nice touch. Only place I’ve been to twice. Close to where my office is, patio seating, good food, and a good crowd.

I think you've got a smudge on your camera lens

Columbus is the largest city in Ohio. I bet most people didn't know that.

Largest in population because its gigantic in size compared to the other two majors in the state. Like almost triple the square miles. gotta get those tax dollars since people were moving to the burbs or businesses essentially creating towns just outside. They annexed most of their population

Not a smudge. I dropped it and cracked the damn lens. Need to get a new phone.

At the Ohio State Fair tonight. They have a beer tent with a ton of local beers on draft. Schmidt’s is here too.

Well, yeah, but that explanation ruins the fun of the fun fact.

Ohio State Fair. Had to go.

Please read the title about this pic. They literally carved the next three pics out of pure butter and refrigerated it for public display. Sorry for partying........

[img]https://i.imgur.com/2yrV1YL.jpg[/

They had a beer tent with about (40) local brews on tap. I had several......

Schmidt’s was at the fair. I was told that it was just as good as the original location so I grabbed the most popular.
