Just at a glance doesn't look that bad. Of course places like the Burj are outrageous, but most "normal" hotels look relatively affordable.

Strictly speaking, it is illegal to be in a private room, or even in a private car, with an unrelated member of the opposite sex. This applies to rooms in Dubai hotels also.
