Goin with the SO - I've never been so I'm looking for suggestions on things to do I'd love to see some music but all I'm seeing is DreamCar (the dude from AFI and the band from NO Doubt).

What beach are the cool kids goin to these days? What are things that I simply can't pass up in Chiraq?

There are dozens of Chicago threads on this website. I would just search them and you can pick-up everything from tourist traps (i.e. Millennium Park, Museum Campus, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, etc., etc.) to navigating through neighborhoods (West Loop, Wicker Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Old Town, Logan Square, etc.).

I went last month but was only there for a day and a half. I really enjoyed the city and want to go back. Tons to see and do not to mention eat. Check the threads here and tripadvisor.

Navy Pier is neat and you can take boat rides from around that area.

Their museums are top notch! Very impressive.
