Eh. Charlotte is fine. Just a lot of walking to get anywhere.
Don't get the hate for atlanta insofar as a connecting hub. As large as it is, it's a breeze to hop on the tram and get to your connection. Going through security can be another story, but not the worst.
At least you aren't connecting through LGA and having to go outside and hop on some sketch bus to your next terminal.

I fly through CLT 75-100 times a year. It’s a little crowded at the end of B and C but otherwise is a very efficient airport.

Never found CLT to be particularly bad. CLT is a lot like MSP, ORD and ATL in that it feels far more congested recently. The hallways, seating areas, restaurants, bathrooms, and admirals clubs all feel a few sizes too small to handle all the traffic.

The only thing that sucks about CLT is they put all the regional traffic on rwys 18R/36L which is the furthest runway from the terminal. Plus, they park the regionals on the opposite side of the field from that runway.
So if you’re connecting from a small town and to a small town your taxi time can be over 30min, depending on how many planes are in the queue.
Not good when you have a short layover.

Charlotte sucks for being a midsized airport. Obviously major hubs like ATL or DFW are worse.
