CC Rental Car Insurance for international worked

I've been using CC Rental car Damage waiver insurance when renting in Europe the last 3 trips, its probably saved me at least $1000 by now. Its a benefit of certain cards, and I specifically sought at a card with this benefit on my first European trip 9 years ago. But I've never had to use it, so I've always been nervous.
On our trip to England this past May/June my rental car was side swiped in a hit and run apparently. It was hit on the very bottom of the driver's door and then of course the front panel immediately in front of the door. I walked out to the car the day of turning it in and saw the small dent, ended up being about $1000 in "estimated damage".
All I had to do was fill out a 1 page claim form, and email them my initial booking receipt, final payment receipt, and then some pictures. But Budget included some pictures of the damage in the final receipt so that was very easy.
Took about a month, but they refunded my CC yesterday. I'm very happy about it, very easy. Frankly I would of been fine paying a deductible, but there was not one.
As I said, using my CC covered Damage insurance has saved me pretty good money. For European rentals it works out to 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of the rental usually to add it. I wanted to pass it on and I'll have no issues at all using it in the future.

I've always wondered how it would actually play out if I ever had to make a claim, as I use the same. What card was this with if you don't mind sharing?

USAA World MasterCard.
I wasn't going to say it but phuc it. The insurance is through a 3rd party, not sure of their relationship with USAA or MasterCard. But they were great. It took 2 quick phone calls and I just emailed all the info. It was amazingly simple.

Ive got the Chase Sapphire Reserve and I've been hesitant to rely on it as well.
