Cancun Trip Summer 2020 - any advice appreciated

A good friend is getting married in Cancun next July 2020 and was looking for any recommendations as to flights/excursions/etc. The wife & I have never been.
The wedding is all inclusive at the Royalton Riviera.
Links to other threads would be appreciated also, I’ve seen a few so far.

Get on the ferry. Go to Isla Mujeres. Don’t go back to Cancun until it’s time for your flight home.

Yes he could. Playa has gone downhill over the past decade or so but it's still fun. I love the tequila museum.

We stayed at the Royalton resort. It’s really nice and only a couple years old.
We liked the Xplor nature park excursion.
It included ziplines, utv rides, underground swimming, etc.

Book the JUNGLE TOUR early one morn (book ahead).
Lots of fun and likely the BEST VALUE.
Have done it multiple times.

ISLA MUJERES is a must visit NORTH BEACH (NW really) is great.
Not a big island but certainly a must do.
