Going for long weekend and was hoping for a recommendation or two for dinner.

Although it looks like it has some recent bad reviews, we enjoyed the fried Brussels sprouts and steak frites at Evangeline (served with a good chimichurri sauce). Gott’s Roadside in St. Helena is great for lunch or a mid-afternoon bite (esp. after a few tastings).

I’ve been here for lunch. It was recommended by a couple if ladies visiting a winery that frequent the Napa Valley.

I've been hearing about Calistoga lately. Do you visit Calistoga or are you staying there to visit somewhere else?

Just got back from Calistoga two weeks ago

Agree with Solbar and Sam’s, make reservations

Johnny’s Restaurant on the strip is solid, can get Pappy 12 at a decent price

Cafe Sarafornia is a great breakfast

Some nice wineries and a couple of breweries in Calistoga. It’s the top end of the valley. A couple of really nice resorts, Four Seasons, et al.

If you are going over to Healdsberg or Geyserville yet also plan on stopping in Saint Helena, Yountville, Napa proper then it is a great mid-point.

We stayed there a couple weeks back and went to Robert Young and Coppola (the movie memorabilia is incredible) and Oakville Grocery, Sebastiani, Opus and Levendi

Levendi’s new tasting room in downtown Napa is straight fire. My favorite of the trip. Going back in April.

I ate at this place last friday night and it was excellent. If you go I can tell you the bolognese is outstanding. Sams social club is the restaurant at Indian Springs resort. Stayed there and had a few meals there as well. it was good but the options downtown are better and its a small area so you can walk to anything.

Just got back yesterday. Fun trip…Sams Social was legit. It was prime rib night! Awesome

Calistoga Brewery was also very good. We heard good things about Evangeline but did not go.

Stayed there as home base, the price was little cheaper than other cities.

We enjoyed Brasswood a lot, although we went for lunch. If you go, be sure to ask for the mozzarella.
