Where can I rent a cabin on a lake within 5 hours of Baton Rouge.

Several of the state parks have waterfront cabins. The ones at Chicot and Toledo Bend state parks are very nice.

Percy Quin State Park near McComb, MS and Flint Creek in Wiggins, MS. There are also two places on the Okatoma Creek in Seminary, MS that are cool if your prefer kayaking over boating - I recommend Seminary Canoe Rentals.

My buddy recently completed a cabin/lodge in Monterey, La. It was built as a hunting lodge for woodcock hunters but it is for rent the rest of the year. It is on the water, but 1/10 mile away is Black River Lake for boating and such. Here is a link to the facebook page. Grist Mill Lodge
