Any specific reason why you chose Branson? Just curious because IMO there's really nothing there.

You have the lakes which are nice if you rent a boat, big cedar, the landing, golf courses and shows.

Honestly it's a shite hole with no decent restaurants, and expensive tourists trap business and the traffic is horrid this time of the year.

If going to Ripleys believe it or not, a shitty wax museum and go carts is your thing then enjoy it.

Springfield is 30 mins north & Eureka Springs AR is 45 mins away.

Dobyns Dining Room and BillyGail's Cafe are both great places to eat.

You forgot all the church groups and cheesy country/gospel shows
summary - half decent music with one or two goofy characters for comedy.

But if you insist on going, the Baldknobbers is one of the originals and still the best in town.
All other shows in town are just copies of their show.

My grandparent retired and moved up there when I was a kid, so I've spent of a lot of my childhood summers up there. A majority of the town is just a big tourist trap, but there are some good things to do that aren't for the soul purpose of separating you from your money. I can probably answer almost any question you have, so fire away.

Silver Dollar City - a legit "Theme" park that is set around 1900.
- Marvel Cave is a must

Table Rock Lake (Anything on the lake & the Dam tour)

Dixie Stampede - Decent show, but also may be the best meal in town (which isn't saying a whole lot but its good)

The original Bass Prop Shop is in Springfield (about 45 minutes away). Before Bass Pro expanded nationally and went super commercial, it was awesome. Not sure what its like now.

About 1.5hrs south in Arkansas is the Buffalo River.

It's always struck me as like Vegas for Baptists.

Yup.

I went up there probably 2 a year from 20 years of my life. My grandparents loved the country music shows, endless choices of chain restaurants, and how "senior" friendly the whole town is.

???

They have Applebee's, Chillis, Famous Daves & Olive Garden.

They do have Joes Crab Shack, fast food & a few other places, I wouldn't say endless.

I lived in Harrison, AR for 3 years we always made the hour dive to Springfield to go out to eat.

Also like I said traffic is horrid good luck getting dinner at a reasonable time at these restaurants. Most of the restaurants are on 76 which can take 45 mins-1hr just to drive down.

I know I'm coming off like a dick and making look like the worst place in the world, but I'm being honest.
