Me and the wife are wanting to go next month (June 10th) and not sure where to stay or the best way to get up there from the airport.

I've gone up the last two years. Witnessing American Pharoah win the triple crown was incredible, along with the events leading up to the race. Last year's race was still a fun experience but nothing compared the to the year before.

As far the best place to stay - I stay in NYC. There's a rail that drops you off right at the track - it's so convenient. And it's only about a 45 min ride. They expanded the rails 2 years ago so traffic after the race is not bad at all.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me which ticket is best? Im not looking to get VIP but I would like to get access to the Paddock. Is general admission the way to go?

As in pre race where they stage them? Just walk up. It's general admission. Elbow out some Jamicans. They are hilarious with comments.

I am going this year but drive from NJ. Belmont is my favorite track. I think staying in city and taking train is the play though.

I went AP year and seeing TC is something I will never forget.

All the seat backs are find 2nd or 3rd level imho. I think there is a seat view somewhere. I sat past line AP year and was happy.
