I'm trying to help get a Bachelor Party together in Mid August. A few of us live in Charleston, so that's off the chart. We're looking for more proximity where we could all take our cars.

So far, we've narrowed it down to Savannah, Nashville, or Louisville (fwiw, the wedding is in the Asheville area so that was off the map.).

Can someone offer some input between those 3? Any other suggestions? Atlanta maybe?

ETA: Please move to Travel Board if need be.

there will be so many trashy bachelorette parties wading around on Broadway in nashville on a given night so I would go with that

Nashville for sure. There's bachelorette parties everywhere in that city which is pretty good when you've got a good bachelor party group. There's also no shortage of bars/strip joints.

Lulz def not Louisville, and I imagine Savannah will be all kinds of nut swampy in August.

Nashville is the obvious choice.

Nashville. No question.

You can end the thread at this point. It's unanimous.

Savannah you can cary drinks from bar to bar in plastic cups outside. Other than that Nashville is better, and I live in Savannah.

Overdone and trashy. If the OP and his boys are from Charleston, SC, then they will enjoy Nashville much more.

If you go to Nashville, start the day with a tour of the Corsair Distillery. Pretty cool and they have quite a large selection of booze to sample and buy. Then go get rowdy.

As others have mentioned, Nashville is "Bachelorette mecca". Could be fun for the groomsmen.

Savannah seems a little quaint for a bachelor party, no?

Louisville is actually a really cool town. Bardstown Road alone would make it a cool trip. Plus, the Triple A team has Against the Grain Brewery in the stadium.

My advice, if y'all are really looking to party and stay out late - go to Nashville. If you are a little older and want to enjoy yourselves - look at doing The Bourbon Trail in Kentucky and spending a couple of days in Louisville.

I feel like Savannah and Charleston are really similar so I would scratch that. Like yea there's differences but the feels are really similar

May have to give it another chance. I've been to Louisville, but only for business. What I saw didn't impress me much, but I guess I didn't really get to be drawn in.

Struck me as one of those "just a city" cities.

Really? Where'd you go or stay?

I've found Louisville to have a lot of grit and character actually. Bardstown Road is reminiscent of Magazine Street in my opinion. Clifton, NuLu, Germantown, and The Highlands are all great areas.

Very underrated food and drink town. Some very, very good bourbon bars and The Holy Grale is one of the cooler beer bars I've ever been to.

I was mostly in the southern part of the city, so I admittedly didn't get to the areas near the river very much.

In my defense, my hosts didn't really make much effort to highlight any places I should check out. That, and I didn't have a ton of free time.
