Last time we went we got some nice seats near homeplate on stubhub, but they were also really bad then.
Is it still like in the past where you can buy some uppers and scoot down to the lowers? J/w...
I know I'm trying to be a cheapo, but trying to squeeze a trip in on a budget

If its a midweek game or we are playing a shitty team, most likely. Weekend game or a big series it will be tough to do.

went last weekend and bought tickets outside no problem. Sat in the outfield for about 5 innings then moved down along the first base line once it thinned out a little bit.
