We have 3 kids ages 2-8 and are looking at it on VRBO. Looks nice, anyone have any experience good or bad there? TIA.

I personally have not but I've been to a bayside condo there, about 99% it was Destin West. That's the one with the lazy river on the bayside of 98 right? The only complaint our friends had was it was a hike to the beach when they were on the bayside.

We stayed with young kids there about 8 years ago and enjoyed it.
The bayside does have a nice lazy river and pools with hot tubs. There is a sky bridge over to the gulf side, which like the other poster said, might be a little of a pain if you want to get to the beach often with lots of stuff. You can of course stay on the beach side as well.
Not sure if it's still the case, but you could use the property of the hotel next door too. They had a little splash park and a nice pool with a swim up bar that had a waterfall as part of it.
Def. less traffic and beach crowds than most of Destin, but I can't say there was any good restaurants in the immediate area if that's important to you.

It has imho the best lazy river around....good depth to it. Great place for kids and yes you still get to access the facilities next door (Ramada Inn).
