We are going for a long weekend, total of 4 adults and 4 kids under 3. Anything can't miss? Or anything that kids were excited for that was underwhelming? We are staying on property the whole time (no car), so food recs are appreciated as well. Thanks!

We went for 2 nights last year on the weekend before Christmas. Kids were 7 & 3 at the time.

There's plenty to keep you busy at the resort for a couple days.

Ice and the Snow Plunge slide were pretty popular with my kids, as well as the dancing fountains at night. Carriage ride was also enjoyable to see the lights.

Went to see The Grinch musical next door at the Opry House. Don't think I'd recommend it for that many kids under 3 years old though.

Several good restaurants inside the resort for dining.

I have been a couple of times for work a weekend for work Christmas parties. It is ok, once. The traffic getting into the place is insane. Once you get there don't plan on leaving. Food is ok, but everyone is trying to eat and lines are long and they don't open before 11:00, so I think room service is your only breakfast option

I don't know why, but it really bothers me that the Opry Hotel Main atrium area is themed like New Orleans. I mean you are in freakin Nashville and you can't even theme it after something in Tennessee...

That pretty much describes Nashville to a tee. From a food, drink, architecture, and cultural movement it is pretty much devoid of any creativity.
