Yes, a few times. Amazing place. Backpacked both Angel's Landing area as well as Kolob Arch area.

Going to Utah next month. Looked at some pics of Zion online. The Angel's Landing trail looks to be a great hike. Was wondering about other trails and accommodations and what the other hiking trails are like.

Yup. The Narrows is a must if you visit.

Went in March last year. Did Angel's Landing and the Narrows. The Narrows was so cold my feet were literally numb. But you should be fine this time of the year.
It's much hotter now. Just got back from a trip to Moab and it was 100 during the peak of the day.
My advice in Zion is to camp in the park if you can and to hit the trail first thing in the morning. It can get so crowded. I did Angel's Landing at the arse crack of dawn and it was great. But on the way down there were so many people and some bottlenecks. They also don't allow vehicles inside the park - they have a shuttle system that runs throughout the park. Good or bad depending on the way you look at it.
Bryce Canyon is super close to Zion, go there for a day if you can.

Hiking The Narrows is a must. Spring is usually not a good time due to snow melt. Summer can be miserably hot and rainfall can be heavy and sudden causing flash flooding, which is obviously not ideal for the Narrows (pretty sure people drown fairly often in the Narrows from flash flooding, as the river level can rise very quickly). The best time of the year based on temperatures and flow rate of the Virgin River is usually early Fall. However, I specifically planed a trip a few Septembers ago and we had to wait several days for the flow rate in the river to get down to a safe enough rate for hiking, as the summer monsoons lingered a little longer that year.
It's a good idea (almost necessary) that you rent some gear for that hike. There's an outfitter just outside the park in Springdale. We rented neoprene shoes, a dry backpack, and hiking sticks.
We rented a cabin in a small town called Duck Creek Village, which was a decent central location of several of the parks in the area. We did 2 days in Zion (1 hour from Duck Creek), 1 day at Bryce Canyon (1 hour from Duck Creek), and a day at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (about 3 hours from Duck Creek).
We also made stops at Cedar Breaks (just outside of of Duck Creek), Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park (1 hour south of Duck Creek, on the way to/from the Grand Canyon), and a brief stop at Grand Staircase on the way back from the GC.

Do the Observation Point hike too. Check out Hidden Canyon on the way up.

just got home from utah/etc
angel's landing is temporarily closed, falcons nesting or something like that. if you stay at the zion lodge you can drive on the otherwise restricted road and avoid the shuttle BS
we stayed at zion mountain ranch just east of the park and were able to hit zion, bryce and capital reef (which was the coolest thing we saw)
