Yeah it's awesome. The park is pretty large, but if you just want to see the biggest trees you can park and walk the loop in an hour or so. Highly recommend this park, but keep in mind it's at a high elevation and the roads can get closed in the winter and spring due to snow.

Sequoia, Kinds Canyon, and Yosemite run the range of the Sierra Nevada's. I am not sure how long your trip is and what you are planning though. Depending on when you are going check for forest fires. Also, depending on what you want to do some things need permits. Not all of the waterfalls flow all year year around as well so check the ones you want to see when they are flowing. Also note Mariposa Grove in Yosemite is closed until Spring of 2017.

I have been to Sequoia National Park.
Was in Fresno on business and didn't have time to ride up to Yosemite but Sequoia was a closer option and well worth the drive.
The elevation is not too bad and it was snowing the time I went at that elevation.
It is impressive how massive the trees are.

I'm going in mid June, after leaving LEGOLAND I will be headed to that area for a few days (4). I also was going to catch Death Valley.
