Has anyone ever stayed at a resort in a room/suite that had a private plunge pool? Was it worth the extra cost and how private was it?

We have never stayed at an all-inclusive but looking to get away for 4-5 nights, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Have always heard about Sandals, but started searching the Internet and damn, there are many of these places in the Caribbean and Mexico.

TIA for any suggestions

We typically stay at boutique hotels nowadays (not all inclusive), and the last 2 places we stayed at had plunge pools, both of which we used the first day or two and after that the novelty wore off pretty quick. Pics below.

Our rooms were fortunately just a few short steps from the beach so in our particular case, they weren't as practical or inviting with a beautiful beach and crystal-clear water right in your face. Hope this helps, its all I got.

I've stayed two places with a plunge pool/private dipping area, once in Antigua and once in Napa. To be fair, Napa is more like a giant bath tub with outdoor shower. We used them both, ALOT. And let's call a spade a spade, you just want a skinny dipping area where you can get busy outside. If your old lady is good with it, you'll have a great time.

We're actually going back to the resort in Napa in December and are very much looking forward to the outdoor tub and fireplace...

We had one in Croatia, but barely used the pool. We spent most of our time on the beach instead. We probably wouldn't do an all-inclusive again since we don't typically take advantage of all the services (meals, organized evening events, etc).

It was the Carneros Inn in 2011, but was bought last year and is now the Carneros Resort.
