Where to stay and play along the way? I have 4 Monday tickets, Reynolds Plantation? Grand National? Athens? Where is the best golf and stay within driving distance for Monday Masters viewing? Looking to leave Saturday and come back Tuesday.

Thanks

Damn you all. If you get tickets once do your chances go up the following years?

Nice. Congrats. I'm also going to the Monday practice round. I think we're playing Ross Bridge on the way there, and The Judge on the way home. I'm interested in what's good to eat around Augusta (outside of the gates). I'll eat pimento while I'm there. lol

We have same group of four who have applied for over 30 yrs. I've been awarded tickets 3 times in last 7 after having not won in 23+ yrs. Crazy ...

Bandit won 4. The list is full up.

Only thing I can see happening is Vicki gets pregant and Thibby has to stay home and baseboard.

We'll keep you posted.

I have been trying for years to get two to go with my dad. My buddy and I always joke that the masters is one of the only events run by "the man" that commoners can go to.

Hotel rooms in Augusta are crazy expensive for Masters week. Like $400/night for the Hampton Inn. Augusta itself is nothing exciting. There are plenty of the chain restaurants, so you won't go hungry, but outside Magnolia Lane, Washington Road is quite ordinary to borderline run down.
My advice is to stay in Atlanta and drive over the two hours in the morning.
Golf wise, I'd play the RTJ or perhaps a few courses in the Atlanta metro.

Reynold's Plantation is very nice. The Ritz Carlton over there is first class. All of the courses over there are nice.

My parents live on the 14th green of the Great Waters Course, so that's the course I play when I'm over there.

I've never entered the lottery but have always thought about...anyone care to briefly explain the process?
