Word Press - Enfold Theme - H1 Heading Italicizes "&"

I'm trying to edit a heading on a Word Press Enfold theme website.
When I type "A & B" (space before and after ampersand) the ampersand becomes italic.
When I type "A&B" (no space before and after ampersand) the ampersand stays normal.
I want the ampersand to stay normal but also have spaces before and after.
When I go into the Enfold Advanced Styling, is there any trick of the trade to turn this off? Is this a bug? It's annoying and I can't get to the bottom of it. Because this is a special heading, I can't just go into the back end on the normal editing page and type in some html like I can with text boxes.
I'm a Word Press n00b, so bear with me. I just started using it last week. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Can you post a link to your site so we can check the code?

Need a link to see.
Without seeing it, try replacing the & with HTML entity -- see: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_entities.asp
