Windows 10, settings to remove/change

Good day all,
I'm thinking of either buying or building a new machine, and while I will probably dual boot, I will still need a windows partition for a few items, and it looks like Win 10 is now the default.
For those that have been using Win 10 for a bit, what settings do you typically disable (ie to stop telemetry info etc) and what tasks have you found that need to be performed in cleaning up a base install of win 10?
Thanks in advance!

there's a little utility you run one-time to do this.
i cant think of the name; its on my win10 laptop at home.
the defaults in that app will disable all the 'nosy' parts of win10.

Thanks, it is pcdecrapifier? I vaguely remember using that years ago for win7, not sure if that's still the thing to use tho.

Turn off wudo. It uses your machine and your bandwidth to crowd source windows updates to others

or just download a little utility to turn them off with a single click.
of course that would mean Slate would lose a little of the dramatic effect of their article...

You never posted the utility.
It doesn't seem to be PC Decrapifier.
The PC Decrapifier is a program designed to suggest and remove unwanted software. It can be used to clean off most of the annoying software that is typically shipped with new PCs.

I would still go through all the privacy screens and turn shite off manually too. Also, beware that sometimes when Windows updates, they turn shite back on that you have turned off.
This video is pretty good talking about the software above and other things about privacy on Windows 10. Barnacules was an engineer at MS.

You all may want to look at Glasswire Firewall as well. Everytime something pings the internet from your computer it will show you exactly which process it was that did it.
