The personal hotspot on my iPone 6 helps but the place I just camped had 1 bar (to give an indication of how the cell service was) and about the only time I could get wi fi was early in the morning.

Do boosters help any?

Is there anything other than the personal hotspot thst doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's not like I camp every month?

Thanks

How about just disconnect and enjoy the outdoors?

If I didn't have a 2 year old that we wouldn't bring camping, I wouldn't even take my phone out of the truck.

Why even bother camping if you are worried about wifi??Stay at a hotel instead if it's that important to you.

Let me rephrase that so that it makes sense:

Ahh, yes, be sure to spend time with your head buried in Facebook or Twitter while little junior walks out of sight and falls off a cliff.

Let me clarify. It's not unusual to go camping for 7-10 days. I hike and soak in the outdoors. I just like to check mail periodically. I'll change the subject title.

The problem is remote locations are remote. The best way to get a better signal is to get a better signal. If there is a wireless provider that's stronger in the area switching or getting a burner phone would be the way to go.

If it's a clear airwaves issue I wonder if late at night would work too.

Ummm nice try but no. I meant it how I wrote it now how you "rephrased" it. We don't bring our 2 year old camping so the only reason I take my phone is so the babysitter can get in touch if she needs us.

I recently got a Karma hotspot that runs on the Sprint network. It has some interesting no contract data plans where the data never expires. They run some double your data purchased plans that bring data to about $5 a gig.

But you didn't say what the wireless network was that gave you just one bar
