I cannot find a concise explanation as to how these work together. It sounds like Exodus is a plugin that enables access already-downloaded content, and saves someone from having to download said content themselves. Is that an accurate description?

Add trakt to those to and you basically have every show or movie stored in the cloud ready to go with a press of a button. You can collect the shows and movies you desire and they will appear in your Kodi. When you hit play on a movie you have collected it streams from the cloud.

kodi = plex on steroids (if you're familiar with plex) plus it gives you access to lots of free content both domestic and international.

100% legit.

exodus is a plug-in for kodi that allows you to stream virtually any movie or tv show ever produced without having to worry about whether viacom is pissed at DISH TV this month so they yanked their channels or obama interrupted your TV show so your DVR failed to record it.

Care to elaborate on this? I assume you used "legit" because it isn't legal.
Kodi is both legit and legal. It is at its core simply a media player.

Again when a user hosts a video on YouTube. Let's say it's the 1998 Ohio st vs Michigan game.

You go to YouTube and type that in. Are you afraid to click it? Nah, you aren't downloading it or taking ownership. If YouTube has an issue with it they'll take it down.

All Kodi does is points you to that link for wherever it's being hosted.

It may show you the YouTube link and 11 other places that have the game ready to be viewed.

Not sure why people are so high and mighty on Kodi but spend countless hours viewing many things in YouTube that don't have proper rights to actually be on there.

I have zero problem at all with people downloading stuff, but this justification for kodi/exodus doesn't make any sense. When you stream something, it is downloading. The ONLY difference between streaming and "downloading" is the length of time the media is stored locally. It's not even a distinction worth mentioning.

Yes. Its free TV and movies at your fingertips. Its the reason DTV, Dish and cable are shitting themselves because their demise is inevitable.

Are you concerned about clicking on a youtube video that has copyrighted material on it?

you are just accessing a link that streams a show.

You know I am not talking about Youtube. People using Kodi to access TV shows and Movies.. it's was mostly rhetorical, we all know the answer.

I've watched many tv shows on YouTube.

You only feel bad because the copyright infringement is bringing you entertainment versus a copyright infringement on YouTube that doesn't float your boat.

Me streaming a Pokémon cartoon on YouTube for my son is = me streaming the dark knight on a link provided by Kodi.

I wouldn't say they are shitting themselves as long as they control the bulk of the internet access across the country. As more people cut the "cable cord"we will see more restrictive caps on Data and increased prices for internet access. I doubt they really care werher the profits comes from providing traditional cable channels or internet data. In fact infrastructure cost are probably similar (100% talking out of my arse on this I really have no idea) and the online content has to be much cheaper then renegotiating contracts with the traditional medi providers.
