I was looking forward too but I think he didn't want to get in trouble by not being in that paticular city's zip code. Anybody else that does it give us a review because I think the playstation vue is cool.

I requested it to be deleted

CBS, FOX, ABC, NBC, Discovery, USA and other main channels aren't included even though you're paying for it. I think it has something to do with false location or something.

I didn't want anyone to sign up with the expectations I was leading them to have. I like it a lot, but I don't want to give the wrong impression.

Thanks for all the info and that is understandable being you are not in that zip code location for the local channels but get a $7 antenna from radio shack and get all the local channels. I am very interested in getting it and my wife would be very happy having live bravo and E!.

We'll I'm not seeing Bravo or E! On my guide right now.

Im on the elite package, too.

I have no clue why channels (outside of the locals) are not available when it says they are.

So... You are trying to use their service in a way it is not meant to be used and don't understand why it doesn't work right?

I'm just curious why certain channels aren't available

Can you come up with a reasonable explanation instead of dropping in and trying to look smart?

Didn't Direct TV have to make deals in all the individual local markets before they could offer the OTA networks? I wouldn't be surprised if ABC New York for example isn't allowed to "broadcast" in other regions.

I understand that for sure. The OTA channels don't bother me..It's USA Network, Bravo, E!, etc. (Not that I watch all of those channels, but still).

I'm just curious why they aren't on the plan that I'm paying for

So they're supposed to be on your plan but blocked "in your area"? Are you using a VPN or something that would make you appear to be somewhere else like outside the US? If not I could see those cable channels having some sort of non compete clause with the cable providers in your area. It's ridiculous that I can't watch the Pelicans on NBA League Pass because I live in the team's home area. But that's the deal they made with local Fox Sports affiliate.

Well I'm using a Dallas zip code, but I live in the Lafayette area

They don't ever say when they are going to have vue available for the rest of the country or will it be another year or two.

After finally reviewing which channels that I'm paying for and not getting..I've decided to bring it to the Tech Board.

At this point, there's about 14 channels on Access that I would say I watch, but are not available even though I'm paying for it.

It's really not worth the $40 a month. Plain and simple.

Maybe when it comes to my area I'll consider, but not now.

I was never in on the original posts, and I will go back and look at them and read them.

But it seems like this might make it worth it?

I'm about to make a thread with some details in it.

Unfortunately I can't try it out because I used my free trial, and I'm not blowing $30 and not liking it
