I want to play movies from Amazon on my tablet and transfer to my non-smart TV. Will a micro USB to HDMI work or do I need one that plugs into the micro USB and the headphone jack to HDMI?

I think Google Chromecast will do that for you w/o having to wire your tablet directly to the tv.

I do have a Chromecast that I use on my phone, I will poke around with the tablet and see if I can figure it out.

I would just buy a new Fire Stick, but that doesn't really answer your question.
