I bought it on Amazon in December. The model is m-49 and it shite the bed. When I press the power button the light on the tv comes on but the tv doesn't power up. That light will come on randomly. Any ideas? Thanks.

Unplug the power. Wait 30seconds, then power back up.

Did all that. Just got off the phone with Vizio and the piece of shite is broken. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for it to be repaired. So, basically I have to go a week without my new tv because their shitty product can't last 4 months.

Mine did the same shite but it didn't start until just out of warranty. Now it just sits in the spare bedroom. POS

You might just need to replace power supply. My neighbor put a basically new 60" Vizio tv out by the road. Said it wouldn't power on anymore. Said I could have it if I fixed it. I searched tv model # on eBay. Found a power supply for $20. Super easy to fix. Works like new. I got a $1200 tv for $20 bucks.

I did order a replacement power supply off eBay and it didn't work either.

And I couldn't find any caps that were obviously bulging and needed to be replaced.

Unplug from the wall, unplug from the back of the tv, hold the power button down for a minute. Let off power button, wait 2 minutes. Hook all cables back up and power on.

Whelp, a guy came out today with the parts Vizio sent him and guess what.....the shite is still broke. So, he called Vizio to see what was next and their answer was that they will call me in 2-3 days to let me know what they decide. I will basically be without my tv for 2 weeks at the least on a 5 month old tv. I will never, ever, ever buy another Vizio. The tech says he does more repairs on Vizio than any other brand.

I did call vizio and they said they will send the repair guy to fix it under warranty. That didn't work so now I have to wait to hear back from them. It's a shite show.

1. Go buy a new vizio 60 inch.
2. Put old vizio in new box
3. Take back to store and tell them you don't like the picture.
4. Profit

Their Response.

I apologize for the wait. I did review the Tech notes for the repair, unfortunately the TV will need to be replaced. This will be an on site swap in approximately 7-10 business days. We will ship the TV to a local facility in your area. Once they receive the unit, you will be contacted by them to set up a delivery date and time. This will typically be Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm. If the TV is wall mounted less than 5 feet from the floor, we can have them remove the TV from the wall mount for you. We will need to indicate in the order that it is wall mounted or the delivery agent will not remove it from the wall mount. The local delivery company will bring the unit into your home. They'll unbox it and power it up, but they will not set up or reconnect any cables or accessories. When you receive the replacement unit, please make sure the Delivery Agents power the TV on and you fully inspect the unit for damages or defects. If the unit is damaged or defective you need to refuse delivery and contact VIZIO immediately. If you accept a damaged or defective unit this may void your warranty and may prevent us from shipping another unit to you.

When you receive your replacement there will be a recertified sticker on the box. This is a product that has left our warehouse new, but was returned for whatever reason. This unit goes through a strict Re-Certification process, and is held as a replacement unit for instances like this. It is like-new in all aspects; however we cannot sell it as new any longer. The replacement comes with either a 90 day warranty or the remaining balance of the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer. You are eligible to purchase an extended warranty for this replacement unit before that warranty expires.

I buy a brand new tv that goes out in 5 months and the send me a used one that doesn't have a 1 year warranty? I can't make this shite up.
