I got the D80 just before Christmas for $425 on Amazon. After having the previous XV-21 version, I can tell you that the D80 is much better and fixes all the complaints I had with the XV-21, specifically it's quieter, side brush does a good job of catching next to walls, dirt bin and filter are bigger and don't pop out as it moves over transitions from tile to wood, and it seems to to problem solve obstacles better.

My wife wasn't sure about getting it, but after seeing it in action for a couple of weeks she loves it. You will have to pick up the kids toys off the floor and anything that could get caught in the brush, but that takes me a couple minutes before I head out in the morning on the days the neato runs.

The only problems I've had with my D80 are it sometimes jumping the magnetic strips and getting stuck under the couch, and if you pick it up and move it, it won't go back to the charger when it's done. It's like it can't find the charger. Other than that, it has been perfect

Mine hasn't jumped the magnetic strip yet. I did have to add a couple of short blocks to the the front legs on one of my couches so that it will fit underneath, it is about a half inch too tall to make it under that couch otherwise.
