Anyone have experience with the Sensi brand thermostat?

From what I've read, it's pretty DIY, esp since I don't have a "C" wire like most wifi thermostats require.

Ecobee Lite has a setup that doesn't require a C wire as well.

I don't need fancy, just like the app/wifi feature. Is it pretty reliable?

Are you sure you don't have a C wire? When I put in my wifi thermostat, I thought I didn't either but it was stuffed inside the wall. I only found out because I opened my furnace and saw that the wire was there but not connected. Also, if you don't mind losing control of turning the fan on independently, you can use the G wire for power.

I have two. They're very easy to install and use. It works well with Wink and Echo, but most of the time I use the native app.
