So Verizon doesn't have some software needed to transfer contacts to the classic yet. Hopefully they get that soon

Did the Classic not come with Device Switch? Look in the Setup app for device switch and you should be able to do it on your own. Here is an instructional video. LINK

It should. Blackberry Protect should download them as well.

ATT has a nice feature called address book. back it up on a regular basis and when you get another phone, you can download from the address book.

They don't come with device switch. I downloaded it from the app store. I suspect that Verizon didn't want to use that because it takes a long time. Been about 20 minutes, and only 200/500 contacts swapped. It's definitely working though
