That is training I did not receive. I'm pretty sure it would have only been annoying had I not been standing in very wet mud with damp feet. Given the age of the buildings, I suspect there were grounding and near shorting issues to begin with, which likely magnified what hit me. These were the kind of places where they just drilled holes in the wood floors of the shotgun "house" and ran wire underneath the "house."

New story: My boss at the time (Netware 4.x was a thing) kept making changes at our plant, which impacted more plants than expected. Corporate eventually figured out he was making these changes to production in the middle of the day with no apparent approval. They blocked his access, and explained that he was no longer permitted to make changes, since he wasn't even a CNA. He retorted, "What does being a certified nursing assistant have to do with my changes?" I'm pretty sure I told the CNE that knew what she was doing about it after lunch.
