Subwoofer issues

Recently moved some equipment around. Subwoofer no longer wants to work. My receiver still says it is sending a 5.1 signal but my subwoofer remains on standby with no sound. Ive rechecked all wires. Only running the 1 unfiltered line from receiver and has always worked fine.

RCA connection? Could the RCA termination be damaged from the plugging and unplugging? Have you run test tones?
Edit: I run coax and then terminate RCA. Sorry for any confusion my previous terminology may have caused.

So it's powered on, but not getting a signal? Does 1 unfiltered line = 3.5mm?
Try a different cord or try wiggling the one you have in there around. Sometimes they don't connect correctly when you plug them in

List the make and model of the sub so I can look at the back of it.

I spent days trying to figure what was wrong with a component that was not sending a voltage signal. I just about took down my entire audio rig trying to diagnose it. Turns out I had a faulty cable--I unscrewed the barrel and there it was--the solder joint had freed it self.
Cable faults happen frequently, usually at the termination points. Now when something doesn't work, I start there first.
Try another pair just to test.

Do you have the sub connected speaker level (using speaker wire) or line level (using a single cable with RCA connectors)?
If you are hooked up using line level make sure the RCA cable is plugged in to the left "L" input on the sub. Make sure the other end of the cable is plugged in to the proper subwoofer out location on the receiver.
What receiver are you using? My inclination is that you either have a bad cable or are connected improperly.

Im using the single cable. I have a red white input in the sub as well as a single unfilttered input which is what i thought i use

You can do that. Also try the "L" input. Where are you connected to on the receiver. It's probably correct but it never hurts to double check. What model receiver?
