This is a bit misleading as these numbers are always the most recent sales figures. The actual currently active market share numbers would be different, although Android has most certainly gained quite a bit of ground in the last 2 years and will continue to do so as Apple doesn't offer a low end phone for Asian markets.

Wow... I'd never have guessed that Apple could anyway possibly still "gain" market share (at this time atleast) with the iPhone, even with how amazing peices of craftsmanship, inside and out of the greatest handheld luxury computing device. Just they had basically cornered the market for so long and with no More recent "game changers" that come far and few between and these days by all the different players in the game, and other companies actuslly putting out comparable products left and right...
