splitgate vs. apex legends

Since we don't have a gaming board, I figured the tech board would suffice
We all know Warzone is an asss cheese game now, so I'm about to switch to something new. I've seen a lot of hype over Splitgate and Apex Legends.
I played Apex a little bit back in the day, and enjoyed it. However, splitgate seems to give off a Halo vibe.
Anybody played either recently and can give their experience?
